The FSH WELDING GROUP is the Welding and Brazing division of Viellard Migeon et Compagnie, a family group set up in 1796 by Juvénal VIELLARD.
For over 200 years, Viellard Migeon & Compagnie has been developing the industrial heritage of its founders. Our shareholders' "industrial memory" remains a tool that helps them build their vision of the future.
Beyond its history, Viellard Migeon & Compagnie also draws its strength in the loyalty of its family shareholders, its skilled personnel and robust profits.
We combine this view of long-term development and value creation shared by all members of the FSH Welding Group, with innovation, quality and partnership.
1952: André VIELLARD sets up a unit for the manufacture of coated electrodes within the Société des Forges de Saint Hippolyte based at Grandvillars (90).
1999: Forges de Saint Hippolyte diversify their business by taking over Reboud-Roche, a manufacturer of filler metals for brazing (copper and silver).
The company was set up in 1948 by André REBOUD, the inventor of copper-phosphorus and today the last brazing foundry in France.
1999: The first Italian distribution subsidiary FSH Welding Italy is set up at Grassobbio (BG)
2000: The early 2000s are marked by the establishment of commercial organisations in France, Argentina and the UK with, in each country, the creation of distribution subsidiaries.
2001: Forges de Saint-Hippolyte become the "FSH Welding Group", a holding company set up to better organise the Group's various entities within the same organisation. That year, Selectarc Industries takes over the business of manufacturing arc welding electrodes.
2003: acquisition of FP SOUDAGE, a wire mill for special alloys (aluminium and steels) for welding, set up in 1974, for applications targeted at the nuclear and aerospace industries, with global exclusiveness on Aubert & Duval steel wire drawing. During that same period, the FSH Welding Group settles in Canada via the acquisition of a Montreal-based distribution entity.
2008: The FSH Welding Group continues to develop and establishes itself in new niche markets by creating two subsidiaries, FSH Welding India (based in Mumbai) and FSH Welding Asia. That same year, the Group sets up Interwelding, its Moroccan subsidiary, based in Casablanca.
The challenge we have set for ourselves is to position ourselves in the coming years to achieve growth and synergies between the Group's entities, relying on innovative, quality products, customer and partner service, and respect for our shareholders' values and the dedication of our executives and our personnel at large.
